Swipe Technologies on Tuesday launched the Gold colour variant of its Elite Star smartphone. Encouraged with the overwhelming success of the earlier versions of its popular ELITE Star series, Swipe is back with two more variants the Gold variant (1GB + 8GB) of ELITE Star is priced attractively at Rs 3,699 and the enhanced memory variant (1GB + 16BG) is newly introduced in Black & While color is available at an astounding price of Rs 3,999. It is available on Flipkart.
The Swipe Elite Star was first launched in December last year and upgraded to the 16GB storage (available in Black and White colours) model last month. However, the new Gold colour is only available for the 8GB storage model of Swipe Elite Star.
Powered with Android M (6.0) and Indus Operating System for the users preferring regional language, the new 4G VoLTE-ready variants of ELITE Star offers users a choice to opt from the 8GB (Gold) and 16 GB (Black & White) of internal memory. In both versions, users will be able to enjoy a greater multimedia experience as they can capture sizzling photos and videos in virtually any lighting condition through its 5-MP Rear Camera. Its 1.3 MP Front Camera in both variants ensures great Selfies to share on various Social Media platforms. The high-power battery in both variants ensures that the users do not run out of juice too soon.
The handset comes with OS-based features such as Indus Swipe, Word and Matra prediction, Indus Reader, Indus Messaging, and a Hybrid Keyboard that supports 12 regional languages.
The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The Swipe Elite Star comes in two storage options of 8GB and 16GB, which can via microSD card (up to 32GB).
In terms of photography, the Swipe Elite Star bears a 5-megapixel rear camera, mounted with an LED flash, and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The smartphone packs in a 2000mAh battery that comes with rapid-charge technology. The connectivity options for the Swipe Elite Star smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Bluetooth. The smartphone measures 125.5×64.6×10.6mm.
Last year, Swipe announced a partnership with Indus OS alongside Celkon to bring the domestically-made operating system to more devices in the country. This was in line with Micromax, which is already a partner of Indus OS to boost smartphone sales amongst non-English speaking users.
