Chinese mobile handset manufacturer Company Huawei’s Honor unveiled it’s Premium Category smartphone Honor 8 Pro launched in India. The best feature of the Honor 8 Pro smartphone, it has dual Camera similar to Honor 8. Notably, this is the same smartphone that was launched in China in February under the moniker Honor V9 before making its way to Europe and the UK in April as the Honor 8 Pro. The Honor 8 Pro prices not revealed by the company but To recall, the Honor 8 Pro was launched with a price tag of EUR 549 (roughly Rs. 39,500) in Europe.
The Honor 8 Pro smartphone will be available in Navy Blue, Platinum Gold and Midnight Black color choices in India when it will be made available from the first half of July.
Honor 8 Pro Smartphone Features
The dual-SIM Honor 8 Pro Smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat with a company owned custom UI EMUI 5.1 skin on top and sports with a 5.7-inch QHD 1440×2560 pixels LTPS LCD display with a pixel density of 515ppi. The device is powered by Kirin 960 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz + 4 Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.4GHz coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM with 128GB inbuilt storage which can be expanded further by using the hybrid microSD card slot up to 256GB.
In terms of camera specifications, the Honor 8 Pro boasts of two 12-megapixel cameras at the rear with f/2.2 aperture, laser autofocus, LED flash, and 30 frames per second (fps) 4K video recording. The secondary front facing camera is an 8-megapixel front f/2.0 camera.
The Honor 8 Pro also has additional IR blaster app like the Honor 8, which can serve as a universal remote control for your electronic devices. The handset measures 157 x 77.50 x 6.97 mm and weighs 184 grams. it is backed by a 4000mAh battery.
The connectivity options on the Honor 8 Pro include 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 4.2, and NFC. The smartphone houses a 4000mAh battery and comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back.
Additionally, the Honor 8 Pro’s retail box could be turned into a Google Cardboard viewer for VR experience as well. The smartphone comes with the Galaxy on Fire 3 and Jaunt VR apps pre-installed. Further, the company says that it has partnered with Gameloft and GoPro for inbuilt apps (including the GoPro Quik app) and is currently in talks with major e-tailers for exclusive online release.
