Kia India, known for its innovation in tech-driven mobility, has reached a significant milestone with the sale of over 400,000 connected cars. The adoption of connected car variants has surged, constituting more than 44% of Kia India’s total domestic sales. This achievement underscores Kia’s commitment to pioneering advanced technology in the automotive industry, with their connected car variants growing at an impressive rate of 30.9% CAGR.

  • The Seltos leads Kia’s connected car sales, contributing 65% to the total, with 57% of all Seltos units sold being equipped with connected car features.
  • The Carens follows suit, with 31% of its customers opting for connected car variants.
  • Despite being available in only 7 variants of the Sonet, telematics features account for a significant 21% of total Sonet sales.

  • Valet Mode: Restricts access to the AVNT system, ensuring privacy.

Kia India initiated its journey in April 2017 with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the State Government of Andhra Pradesh to establish a manufacturing facility in Anantapur District. Since then, Kia India has produced over 1.16 million vehicles, including popular models like the Seltos, Carnival, Sonet, Carens, and EV6. With an annual production capacity of 300,000 units, Kia India has become a prominent player in the Indian automotive market. The brand’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric approach is evident in its widespread network of 522 touchpoints across 236 cities, reinforcing its position as a leader in the connected car segment.
