Lenovo India has launched a new dual camera smartphone, as the new line-up of its Lenovo K8 series and has named it the Lenovo K8 Plus. The Lenovo K8 Plus is the newest addition to the line-up and comes with stock Android and a hefty 4,000mAh battery – all for just Rs 10,999 and is available in two color variants, namely Fine Gold, and Venom Black. Unlike the Lenovo K8 Note which is available via Amazon India, the Lenovo K8 Plus will go on sale from 12 PM, 7 September onward exclusively via Flipkart.
Alongside, the company also launched the Lenovo K8, which features several similarities. Unfortunately, no K8 price details have been shared, though Lenovo revealed it would be hitting offline stores soon, and detailed its specifications. The K8 Note, K8 Plus, and K8 are quite identical to each other and mark the beginning of a new era for Lenovo Mobile – an era defined by the company’s switch from their heavy and bloated Vibe UI to stock Android. The fact that all three smartphones look pretty much identical to each clearly points towards Lenovo establishing a clear brand identity with its new range of smartphones.
The Lenovo K8 Plus also features a dedicated music button on the left panel that controls playback and can be further customised as a launcher. Another highlight of the smartphone is its Dolby Atmos support for a better speaker and headphone performance. Other software features that the phone carries are multi-window, bundled notifications, and VR videos.
The K8 Plus is a successor to the Lenovo K6 Power which was launched in India last year and was widely appreciated for its superb battery life. With the K8 Plus, Lenovo is not only promising stellar battery life, but also pure untouched Android and a great imaging experience.
