Xiaomiย India now launched itโsย Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 new exclusive โLake blueโ editionโ in the Indian market.ย The handset is available on sale in the country via Mi.com, Flipkart, and the companyโs Mi Home stores. Notably, the new variant of the smartphone has been launched in just one configuration, i.e. 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage priced at Rs. 12,999.
The reason for the introduction of this new edition of the Redmi Note 4 is because of the โWake the Lakeโ project. Under this project, โXiaomiย has taken the responsibilityโ to restore Kempabudhi kerre lake in Bengaluru.

Xiaomi says the Lake Blue variant of Redmi Note 4 has been launched as a part of its โWake the Lakeโ project in India. The company has teamed up with United Way, a Bengaluru-based NGO working on restoring lakes and Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). Kempabudhi kerre was inaugurated by Kempegowda, the founder of Bengaluru. The company is working with BBMP to restore a number of aspects of the lake including plantation of saplings, setting solar lights, outdoor fitness center, play area for children, setting up toilet facilities.
The sale of each device will go towards supporting initiatives under the governmentโs Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The new Lake Blue variant comes with same specifications as the 4GB RAM variant of the Redmi Note 4.

To commemorate this cause, we are launching Redmi Note 4 Lake blue edition which would further contribute to this cause.โ
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Specifications
In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sports 5.5-inch full-HD 1080ร1920 pixels 2.5D curved glass IPS display and is powered by the Snapdragon 625 SoC. As mentioned earlier, the Lake Blue variant of the smartphone has been launched in just one RAM/ storage configuration. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Lake Blue variant packs 4GB of RAM and comes with 64GB of built-in storage, which is further expandable via microSD card.

There is a new 13MP camera at the back with PDAF (phase detection auto focus) and a dual tone LED flash, while on the front there is a 5MP camera. Connectivity options include support for dual-SIM (hybrid SIM card slot), 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS with GLONASS, infrared sensor and a micro USB port. Rounding it all off is a fingerprint scanner at the back and a 4,100mAh battery to provide the juice.
