Asus launched its new ZenFone 4 lineup of phones, the ZenFone 4 Selfie, and the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro, in India on Thursday. New smartphones launched a little after a month of their global unveiling. The ZenFone 4 Selfie model comes in two variants – one with a single camera in the front (model number ZB553KL), and another with dual camera setup in front (ZD553KL). While the ZenFone 4 Selfie models are budget handsets, the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro is a mid-ranger. The new batch of ZenFone 4 Selfies will cost buyers Rs 9,999, Rs 13,999 and Rs 23,999 respectively and will be available for buying exclusively from Flipkart from September 21, the first day of the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale.
The ZenFone 4 Selfie and ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro, as the name suggests, are exclusively geared towards offering a seamless selfie-shooting experience with the latter being the most high-end phone of the lot. Here’s a closer look at Asus’ new phones:

Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro price in India is Rs. 23,999, and it will be available in Sunlight Gold, Rouge Red, and Deepsea Black color options. The ZenFone 4 Selfie (ZD553KL) is priced at Rs. 14,999 in India, and color options will be the same as that of the Pro model. On the other hand, the ZenFone 4 Selfie (ZB553KL) carries a Rs. 9,999 price tag, and comes in Sunlight Gold, Rose Pink, and Deepsea Black colors. Launch offers for the new ZenFone 4 Selfie range of phones include 100GB of complimentary Reliance Jio data.
As part of the Flipkart sale offers, the ZenFone 4 Selfie (ZD553KL) price in India will be Rs. 13,999, a discount of Rs. 1,000. No-cost EMI option will also be available for the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro.
Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro Specifications
The Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro is priced at Rs 23,999 and is powered by Android 7 Nougat operating system. The phone has two cameras at the front, one is 24MP and the other is a 5MP camera secondary camera for wide-angle selfies, which the company calls “welfies”. The front camera on the Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro features f/1.8 aperture lenses and the latest Sony Exmor RS IMX362 image sensor. The camera at the back is 16MP.
The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display. It runs on Android Nougat-based ZenUI and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It boasts of 64GB of built-in storage and supports expandable storage up to 2TB via microSD.

Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie ZD553KL specifications
The Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie is priced at Rs 14,999 and gets Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. It has a 20MP and an 8MP camera at the front with f/2.0 aperture lenses and a 16MP rear camera setup. The smartphone sports 5.5-inch HD display. It runs on Android Nougat-based ZenUI and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB of built-in storage and supports expandable storage up to 2TB via microSD.
The smartphone also sports dual cameras on the front. It has a 20-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and soft light LED flash and another 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor. It has a 16-megapixel rear facing the camera with LED flash and phase detection autofocus.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi Direct, dual-SIM, and GPS. It is powered by a 3,000mAh battery. The smartphone also comes with a fingerprint sensor.

The Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie has been launched at a price tag of Rs 9,999 and comes with Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. As for the camera setup, the ZenFone 4 Selfie is the only model launched among the three that features a single front camera, which is a 13MP unit with f/2.0 aperture both with support for Portrait mode (Bokeh effect). The rear camera, on the other hand, is a 13MP.
The ZB553KL variant comes with a 5.5-inch HD display. It runs on Android Nougat-based ZenUI and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM aimed at providing a better experience. The smartphone comes with 32GB of built-in storage and supports expandable storage up to 2TB via microSD. The battery on ZenFone Selfie is a 3000 mAh non-removable. It comes with 5.5 inch HD IPS LCD and has a 74.2 percent screen to body ratio.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi Direct, dual-SIM, and GPS. It is powered by a 3,000mAh battery. This smartphone too comes with a fingerprint sensor.
